For anyone who is getting betas early in their pregnancy, the new literature says that even 50% rise is normal.
Take me for example.
13 dpo = 121
15 dpo = 206 (70% rise)
17 dpo = 311 (51% rise)
19 dpo = 503 (62% rise)
27 dpo = 7406 (almost 100% rise every 48h over last week)
Long and short of it.....I was worried over nothing (hopefully). We saw cardiac activity yesterday and today (yes I can't help myself - my coworkers are dear people), so I am much more relieved now than before.
Don't freak if your betas do not double perfectly like we think they should!!!!
Good luck loves!
Re: a public service for those checking betas next pregnancy
This is part of the reason I'm torn over betas. I didn't do it last time, even though my doctor offered. I didn't need anything else to obsess over.
Glad things are going well for you!
I didnt do it last time because my Dr wouldn't. I am pretty sure next time we will. I know they dont always mean anything, but I will feel good to see any increase over time. I know that sounds a lilttle silly. I am totally serious.
And I am SO happy things are going well for you! Congrats again!
