I hate smug pregnant women

Honestly...

A friend of mine got pregnant on the first shot, and she was bragging about how her husband "just looked at her from across the room" and she was KU.  She was also saying how I shouldn't worry if it takes a long time for me, because it takes the "average" woman a year.  

So what...you're "above average"????

    It is super annoying. SUPER ANNOYING

    After my miscarriage, I hated ALL pregnant women.

    LC mentioned

     

     Since then, I have gone on to have a baby-- BUT I was high risk and spent 16 weeks on bedrest.  I needed a blood transfusion and was counseled several times to terminate.  It was very traumatic.  I still feel many old resentments toward women sailing through pregnancy.

    A better wording for the dolt you talked to would have been, "On average, it takes a year," not "the average woman."   Tact and articulateness: FAIL.
