weird pregnancy symptom?????

I'm ttc #1 and heard from my sisiter in law that the reason she found out she was pregnant with her first was from going to the doctor about these small red dots all over her chest. These dots were actually where tiny blood vessels had burst leaving what is called petechia or something. Anyway, the doc told her she was probably preggo and in fact she was. So this mornign I get out of the shower and I have these same red dots across my chest and no where else. Has anyone ever heard of this as a symptom of pregnancy?

I had those the other day and unless my DH has super-sperm I'm definitely not pregnant.

Also, do not say preggo unless you are 12. In which case you shouldn't be having sex, let alone trying to have a baby.

I know what petechia are and what normaly causes them. I get them as an alergic reaction anythime I take meds containing sulfa. I just had never heard of a doctor seeing them and thinking you were pregnant. Wondering if anyone else had. I mean it kind of makes sence with the increase blood volume from pregnancy. If your blood vessels can't handle it....

No that ticker is wrong. I haven't been here in forever. I o'd on the 4th and I'll be testing this weekend.

Yes, I've had them from an allergic reaction among other things. It's not like I'm saying the only reason you get them is because your pregnant. I just heard soemones doctor say this and thought it was weird. I never really gave it much thought until I ended up with them while I was ttc. I'm not saying I think it is a symptom either really. I just wanted to know if anyone else had ever heard of such a thing.

I think a lot of people are misunderstanding me also. Thay are not bumps. They are tiny red dots of blood under the skin.

you would not even have enough increased blood volume at like 2-4 weeks pregnant to cause something like that.

ok, not that I have an increase in blood flow, duh, but someone who did.

I've got an increase in something though because my bbs are blown up to 3x's the size and hurt like heck!!!!!!!!

No, I've never heard of petecheal hemorrhaging as a sign of pregnancy, and no, I didn't experience this as a symptom of pregnancy in any of my pregnancies to date.

Me either....nor have I seen it in any of the patients I've EVER had in over 5 years of nursing.....4 of those in OB
