if the new law passes in texas. That means my 8yr. and 9yr. old will need to be in a carseat!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What in the heck am I supposed to fit three carseats in my damnn car? That is the most ridiculous thing that I ever heard!

Shoot, That means some adults will need to be in a booster seat! I had a friend in middle school who was in the mid 4 ft range!

We have that law already in WI. Kids here are usually in boosters till age 9. Sometimes a bit younger but 9 is average around here. SUCKS for carpooling let me tell ya but boosters are cheap and easy to toss in and out of cars so you can at least keep 3 in your trunk at all times.

I had to lol as well because one of our good friends is barely 4'10'' so I wonder if she were one inch shorter would she have to put a booster seat in the drivers seat?

There has to be an age or weight limit. in NJ it is till they are 8 or 80 lbs

Are you sure there's not an age limit as well? I know in NY its 8 years old, 80 lbs, or 4'9." I remembering thinking thank goodness there's an age limit because I wasn't 4'9" or 80 lbs before starting high school!

There is an age limit. They want to increase it to age 8 instead of 5.

That has been the law in california for a while! I am only 4'-11'' myself people crack jokes all the time!lol My DD will be passing me up soon and she is only 7 yrs old...lol

Indiana has that law already, too. 4'9", 9years, or 80lbs. It put my nieces back into booster seats when it passed.

Which is part of the reason I already have a toddler seat and a booster seat strapped into my car, but don't have a kid yet!

That's been the law in NY for awhile now. DH and I already realize that our next car will be a minivan or an SUV with a third row. We'll need it for carpooling even if we decide to only have two kids.?

Oh my gosh with that law I would have been a freshman in high school before I could not have a carseat. WOW!
