What do you think about Danielle?

I think I like it and my DH does too.  We would probably shorten it to Dani or maybe even Ellie. 

Do you like Danielle?  Which nick name do you like better?  Does Dani sound to much like a boy name or is it ok for a girl?

    It's an alright name. Not terrible, but there are definitely nicer names. Then again I think I have a bad association with it b/c of my SIL, who I wish I never had to see again.

    Danielle fits into that category of Michelles, Megans, and Jennifers. I don't know any little Daniells but I grew up with a lot of them.

    I really like Danielle. My SIL wants to name their daughter Danielle, but my brother doesn't like the nn Dani. One of my best friends in junior high was named Danielle and she ocassionally went by Dani, but 90% of the time people called her Danielle. I can see how Ellie could be a nn for Danielle, but I don't really care for that nn. Dani does remind me of a boy. I'd just call her Danielle.?

    It is NMS, but not bad.

    I like Elle/Ellie as a NN better than Dani.  Not that Dani isn't okay for a girl, but Elle/Ellie is a bit chicer, cooler, and prettier.

    Danielle is my name :) So yes, I like it. My husband calls me Dani sometimes, I don't think it sounds too boyish. I think it's kind of cute.

    My name is Danielle so I of course like it.  Growing up I was called Dani and loved it! Now my nephews cal me DeDe. Great name go for it!

    i like it! 

    my sister's name is Danielle and we have always called her Danielle.  some of her friends call her Dani (which she likes) or "D" (which she like too, i think).

    by the way, her middle name is Renee, which i also like :)

    One of my coworkers just named her dd Danielle after her father Daniel. She hasn't picked a nn for her yet so she's Danielle.

    It's a name you don't hear very often.

    I love Danielle. My niece is named Danyale. She goes by her full name. What about Elle for a nn? I like it as Danielle best though. We don't call my niece Dani b/c she is named after my dad, Danny.
