Yep, I'm that girl. Not yet TTC but making a namelist. DH wanted to talk names last night because of the SSA list, and then wanted opinions.
I'm a loser and I'm proud.
AND I'M GOING TO A PLAYOFF GAME TONIGHT WAHOOOOOOOOO!!!
*dances around post with Squirmy and Armando* quietly so that Wee can sleep.
Re: So what, wanna fight about it?
Same here?
Can I have this dance? Yay for your DH even talking names!! woot woot
And same here. Though it only consists of girls' names because DH shoots down any boys' name I suggest and won't suggest any boys' names of his own.

Gabriel. Connor has been removed because DH didn't like it :P But he does love Nathan, which is CLOSE!
The Jackson Journey
Squeee! Gabriel is still my first choice.
Ok - so another test of how separated at birth we were - do you pick out names based on the silly nicknames you could use? For example, I like Nathan/Nathaniel because I could call him Nate-Nate (not as a "real" nn - but as a cutesie pet-type nn)
We both have lists but my list is different from DHs lol.?
Um YES! It's my favorite part! We are both nicknamey people.
But somehow, our dog has gone from Lucy to SprucyMooseyGoosey so I feel like we could really do it to anything with the right amount of sickening babytalk.
ROFL. One of my favorite things to do when I worked with toddlers was to warp the kids enough that they referred to themselves by their nicknames.
Actually, that's where the Nate-Nate came from - I had a Nate in my class from 4 months old. By the time, he was 18 months or so, he would tap himself on the chest and say "Nate-Nate?" in this cute little voice.
I'm a sad, sad person.
We don't have a list, we have final choices. And one of them we picked before we even got married. DH's dad mentioned the name of his great-grandfather (or something) and DH and I just looked at each other and were like "hmmm...".
Me too. I've managed not to publish it yet, but you may have just changed my mind....
Hey, Auntie Alyssa morphed longago into Aunt Isha and I love it just as much
Okay I had to reply again. I not only have done it in my head, but I have drawn it out on paper.
It is clear to me now that I MUST get a life.
YEah, check my siggy lol. No shame. Whatevs.
Confessions:
1. I have a name list and have for some time.
2. I too have sketched the nursery on paper.
3. I routinely peek into the guest bedroom and go "Awww. One day this will be a nursery".
I am uber lame.
I don't have name list, but I've thought about it.
You know Miranda gets my vote!
Ditto this! Especially since I have so many friends that are expecting. As I come across things I love I save the details.
We had names selected, in order of preference (4 boy, 4 girl) before we were officially engaged.
Gabriel is our #1 boy choice. The first son will be Gabriel Ross.
