Questioning my O date...where's ebat??

So, FF shows me ovulating on CD 14. Now I'm questioning that and think it possibly was CD 15. Am I crazy? Thoughts??

Re: Questioning my O date...where's ebat??

  • Looks like day 14 to me still.  It has been sooooooo long since I have charted - but isn't O day confirmed on the first day of temp rise followed by 3 days of elevated temps?  If so - day 14 is it.

FWIW - whether it be day 14 or 15 - your chart looks good.  GL to you!!! ;-)

  • Looks like CD 14 to me as well...is there a reason you're questioning it? Good luck!!!

Yes, actually. 2 reasons. #1: Normally, my temp rise is very significant and I feel that it's "bigger" on CD 15. #2-Technically, we're still TTA, so if it really was CD 14, I'm fine, but if it was CD 15, not so much. TMI, but my nipples are really sore, so I'm starting to question if I might be PG.

One day will not make much of a difference. If you had sex on CD 15, the egg is still there for the sperm to fertilize. I think the egg lives for anywhere from 24-48 hours after being released.

    Dear Bump: You suck.

My understanding from TCOYF was that by the time you see your temp shift, the egg is already long gone. ??????????

Maybe...it's been a while since I read it. But If FF marks an O day, that's the day the egg is released, and it doesn't die immediately...that's why a lot of people try to make sure they have sex day before O, O day, and day after O when TTC.  I think I remember in the  TTA section that there is some kind of buffer after O day, like you shouldn't have sex in the day or two after O is confirmed??

I honestly don't remember that part that well since I was focused more on the TTC part rather than the TTA part.

You ARE either 11 or 12 DPO...why not test and put your mind at ease?

  • I haven't charted yet (still on BCP), but I busted out TCOYF to check the rules.

    3) You are safe the evening of the 3rd consecutive day your temp is above the coverline.

    4) You are safe the evening of the 4th consecutive day after your peak day.

looking at your chart, I think you might have still been fertile on days 15 and 16.  i agree with pp - test!

FWIW  I think you O'd on CD 14,  I sometimes got slow increases,  but I think think the O date was always at the beginning of the slow increase(my LP was really consistent and whenever I wasn't sure I always went back to check after my cycle was over)

That being said,  if you O'd late CD 14  and had sex the evening of CD 15  you still could have been fertile, as eggs live 12-24 hours and swimmers can get there really fast.  I'd test
