I have heard that more nausea in pregnancy hints that a girl is on board. For those of you "in the know", do you think your MS (or lack there of) hinted at your baby's gender? TIA!

i'm STILL nauseous all the time and it's a boy... ?sorry, i don't think this is true. ?nothing, when it comes to determining the sex of the baby, ever is!

I was nauseated to the point of needing Zofran with both pregnancies - first a girl, now a boy. Personally I think it's more about your system and how your body reacts to pregnancy hormones than the sex of the baby.
We don't know what we're having, but I was VERY sick with hypermesis from 6 weeks-21 weeks. My doc guesses it's a girl based on that (but of course she made it very clear it's just a guess!) but my mom had hypermesis with my brother and no sickness at all with me. We'll see!
Since I couldn't answer via the poll, I will say I have HG and lost 18 lbs in the first tri and we are having a girl. BUT m/s really has nothing to do with the sex of the baby.. 2 of my best friends are also having girls and hardly got nauseous/ill at all.
I hate when people IRL start talking about these myths, it's soo annoying to listen to. A myth can't tell you what you're having, pregnancies are different for each baby and each person.
Thanks to all who answered regardless of the screwed up poll. Now my computer won't let me post the corrected one. Sigh....I hate my overly sensitive laptop...I think it is having sympathy hormones.

Once again, m/s does not in any way predict the baby's gender! I didn't have ANY m/s at all & I'm having a girl! Can we please stop answering this question?!?
I have a girl and a boy, and I'm pregnant with my third but don't know the gender yet. With both DD and DS, I had only one instance of nausea very early in the pregnancy (at 4 or 5 weeks) that lasted around an hour. With this pregnancy, at 6 weeks I had about 3 mornings when I woke up and felt nauseous for about 20 minutes, but was fine after lying down. Other than that, I haven't had m/s.
Following all the old wives tales (I had no morning sickness, craved greasy foods and hated sweets, the way I was carrying) and my "intuition" I thought I was having a boy. I just found out last Thursday that I'm having a girl. All the wives tales and my own intuition were all wrong!!! I don't think there is any way to know beside the ultrasound.
I have a couple of friends who were hit with m/s and ended up having boys. My friends who didn't have m/s ended up being pregnant with girls. Now, I don't have any m/s and but I feel like its a boy. I have it in my head that girls make you sicker, gain weight faster, and make you look differently. And I haven't felt any of those symptoms. True, I'm still in the beginnings of this pregnancy so anything could happen....
Re: Poll....MS vs. Gender
One option?

LOL?
This.?
Yes, hate you.
I have had zero m/s this pg or the last one. Had a boy last time but don't find out for a month what gender this baby is.
To answer your question, I don't take a lot of stock into OWT.

I had no morning sickness whatsoever and I am a pregnant with a boy AND a girl.
I think pregnancy just agrees with some people, gender aside.
I don't believe any of these myths.

I had no morning sickness with my last pregnancy and it was a boy.?
This time around I have had it everyday since week 6, and everyone seems to think its a girl. We will just have to wait and see!
I had MS that turned into hyperemesis and lasted the entire pregnancy with my son.
Same with this one, too.
I'm confused that there's only one option.
I had no m/s at all and it's a girl.
Same here... lost 7 pounds and threw up into the 2nd tri.
If having a girl is "easier" then I hope I stick with boys!
I was thinking the same thing.....
