I have hair that is just past my shoulders now. I have naturally thick hair, and it drives me crazy right now. I can't have it in my face and the swoopy bangs I had are finally growing out just not fast enough. Having my hair down also drives me nuts and makes me sweat my butt off!
With that being said, I am thinking of cutting it into an inverted bob. Similar to Jenny McCarthy but with more layers in the back for volume. (Which my hair is always great with volume). I know now is the perfect time to grow my hair out because of all the hormones, but I don't think I am going to be able to handle it all through the summer. And I am ok with pony tails, but I can't stand doing a pony everyday. HELP!
Re: Thoughts on cutting your hair while pregnant...
I've cut my hair like that several times too and I always go back. I just love it too.
The inverted bob look IS nice...
But I feel like I have to mention, I did cut my hair at about 4 months pregnant w/DD, and it was the absolute worst thing I could have done. There are few things I regret more. I DID get the round pg face, and it just looked terrible, esp at the 3rd trimester. It was a bob... but I had long hair before that, and I've since figured out long hair is really what gives me femininity (it's certainly not my face - thanks, Dad, for the big Italian nose and man-chin).?
You know yourself, your looks, and what works best on you better than anyone, though, so do what you feel is best - just be warned!?
Lacey, I know you are creative enough to be able to do more than a pony tail with your hair! :-) We both have thick hair and similar face shapes. I think you look great with short hair, but I would definitely talk to your stylist about a good length for you. Like when I cut my hair short the summer we got pregnant, Holly, my stylist, and I decided that we could do right about my chin line and longer without my face looking fat. I didn't put on a bunch of the face fat til 3rd tri and it wasn't a lot, but by then, I had shoulder length hair or longer.
I can totally give you some easy hairstyle ideas. I've been practicing on my hair because in the summer, I hate wearing my hair down because it gets all sweaty on my neck. My goal is to grow my hair out to the middle of my back for awhile.... But I had to get the back even, I hate having the layers in the back sometimes.
Good luck Lace, I am sure you'll find something that will work for you!
I am totally creative yes. But lately I just don't have the energy to do anything. I just want something fast and easy right now lol.
