I woke up around 8:30 to breakfast in bed (coffee, juice, toast, bacon, eggs) served by Hubster and Kitten (who went down for a nap shortly thereafter, enabling hubster and I to celebrate adult-style). ?And I got a huge bouquet of roses from MIL and a bunch of daisies from Hubster and Kitten. ?
And then I got to do statistics for the rest of the day. ?Lame.?
It was very lovely and relaxing. DH took Stella out all afternoon, so I could take a nice long nap. I got flowers from my favorite flower shop from Stella, and DH made me dinner.
It was great. DH took over basically all DS duties starting Friday night (I got to sleep in both Saturday and Sunday - heaven!) Saturday we all went to a local farm for kids and then spent the afternoon at the park. Sunday we did the traditional Mother's Day Lilac Festival at the Arboretum here in Boston (the weather was gorgeous) with some friends and DH made me breakfast and dinner. We don't do gifts for Father's Day/Mother's Day but he gave me some beautful flowers.
The only bad thing was that we had spectacular seats for the Red Sox game Friday night but couldn't get a sitter and had to give them away. That sucked.

I?slept?in until 10:30! ?Then we went to a nice lunch on the pier with my family. After that DH sent my mom and I for Mani's, Pedi's and Margi's. It was fantastic!

We took a long walk as a family down along the beach (after breakfast in bed for me and sleeping in until 10am!!!) and DH & I took a nap while Emily napped before we went out for an early dinner together as a family. It's always so nice to get flowers and cards from my mom and DH and I really loved all the text messages & emails from mom friends!
Mother's Day fell during our annual trip to Disneyland and it was our last day at the park. It wasn't as crowded as the other days so that was great!! When we entered the park, the workers had tables set up to give all the moms a flower to pin onto their shirt. Even though its a simple thing, it was nice to be recognized as a 'mom' I had a really nice day with my family and my mom was there too so that was even better! I had gotten my mother's day gifts before we left since they were too heavy to lug with us. Dh helped the kids make stepping stones with their handprints in them. Very cute!
Great! I got homemade gifts from the boys and then we all went to a Japanese Hibachi for dinner. The boys love to watch the chefs cook right on the table and do fancy tricks.
