Pregnant after 35

First time I am 'feeling my age', lol

I was worried that eventually it would catch up to me...last time I was pregnant was almost 13 years ago when I was 23!  And over the weekend, it finally did, I do believe.  My back is absolutely killing me!  I can't find a comfortable way to sleep ALREADY!  This isn't going to get any better, lol.  At least I can get adjusted at work as many times as I want!

  • (((HUG)))

My back is killing me too! And my hips and knees and ribs.

Pregnancy is NOT easy on the body, huh? So was it easier at 23?

  • When I had my first two, I barely had a symptom!  And up until now, things had been just about the same...no complaints.  I wasn't really any more in shape then, so I'm guessing it's pretty much just the age difference....

Sorry ladies, it doesn't get any better.  I haven't had a good nights sleep in over a month and the back problems only get worse.  My 1st pregnancy 7 yrs ago was nothing compared to this.

  • Dont say that!  I dont ever want to feel my age.  I still think Im 12, but with a lot more money.

Just to play Devil's advocate, it doesn't necessarily have to be your age that causes your aches and pains. It could be how you're carrying. I've had a few back aches during my pregnancy(I'm 35), but my mom was doubled over with pain the entire time she was pregnant with me, and she was only 27. She reckons she could feel me shoving or kicking her spine the whole time, whereas my boy only makes my lower back a bit sore every once and a while.

So maybe it's not ageBig Smile

  • I was in normal teen nerd-shape the first time, as i recall it was very hard on my body.  This time I have a fair athletic history, and so far it's been much harder on my mind and emotions than on my body.  :)

  • I am 42 and this is my first.... I have not had a back ache yet.   Sleeping is fine...except when my dog wakes me up or I need to pee in the middle of the night.   I agree that it may not be age as much as where the baby is parked Smile  Which, by the way, she seems to be kicking me in a downward motion so far!
