I am a bridesmaid in a friend's wedding and I'll be 18 weeks.
I already have the dress (sigh). Any chance I can wear it?
It's not SUPER fitted around the tummy, but it's not particularly loose and flowing either. My mom just laughed when I told her I was planning on wearing it. :0
Re: Will I be showing?
It's kind of hard to say... there is a lot of variation in when and how much people start to show.
I used to work at a maternity store and I saw every size and shape of pregnant lady you could imagine. You just never know!

Too Funny!!! I just dropped the bomb on my best friend. I'm going to be 18 weeks at her wedding and my bridesmaid dress is VERY fitted. I have a dropped waist size 0... Ugh.
Let me know how it works for you! Good luck!?
Ditto.
Look, it'll depend on how much weight you gain, how the weight distributes, how much bloating there is, whether you have a long torso or a short torso, the strength of your abdominal wall and simply how you, Jenny, carry a baby. I have friends with real baby-looking bumps at 11 weeks and people who didn't show to the outside world until 28 weeks (though they could see massive differences and were more comfortable in mat clothes).
It sucks the dress is already paid for - but there may be ways to alter it. You'll have a better idea a couple of weeks before the wedding. . .

Every body type is different.
However, I am a bridesmaid next weekend in a wedding and I got laughed at in David's Bridal when I asked if I would be showing at 17.5 weeks.
SO GLAD I BOUGHT A MATERNITY STYLE DRESS INSTEAD!!!
I started showing between 14 and 16 weeks and today it is OBVIOUS. There is no way I would have been able to wear the normal dress at 17.5 weeks.
same thing happened to one of my bridesmaids and she did the same thing that pink princess is saying
