PIP of "serger" foot in action

My machine only has 3 overcast stitches and they're all kind of short. This was just one that I put it on. Also, it says that max width of stitch can be 5 inches (Wait! I think that's wrong - setting 5, I think) for overcast stitches. I don't know how much of a difference this makes. I'm a newbie to "serger" type things.I was sewing two layers of flannel by the way. I plan to sew bamboo fleece and velour and cotton knits and maybe sherpa, but that will come later. Life is too crazy right now.
