(I'm just a wealth of cheer today, aren't I?)
DH's ex wife just calls and says she's going to bring the girls over in a few hours instead of tomorrow night so that she can go out to the bar.
We alternate weeks with her but let her take this weekend so the girls would be with her on Mother's Day. Nice to see a fvcking bar is more important than waking up with your girls.
It makes me want to punch things. Truly. I swear to ever loving god, if and when I have my own child, I will relish every mother's day I have with him or her.
Re: and THIS is why I can't stand mother's day
like waffles! mmmm, lol.
i hope you didn't take my comment wrong. I wasn't trying to be condicending at all (after reading it again I could see how it might). I was just trying to put a lighter spin to it. I don't know how old the step kids are, but I'm sure they would appreciate spending the day with you too.
No no, I didn't take your comment wrong at all and I don't think it was condescending! And I need to snap out of my moodiness anyway. I'm just having an issue this year with moms who get to be moms but don't deserve it. And she's my shining, #1 example.
The girls are 8 and 10 and yes, I'm sure we'll have a great night tonight and day tomorrow. But my heart breaks for them that their mom would rather be at a bar than with them.
(And I luv waffles!)
Yeah, my husband's ex texted him yesterday and asked if we could keep his daughter later today because her and her boyfriend hadn't "made love all week."
In her defense, her and her daughter went out Friday for Mother's Day, and she had her all day after the 1st communion yesterday, AND kept her overnight last night because her daughter wanted a little extra time (we usually have her all weekend, every weekend). But who tells their ex that much about their sex life? LOL! What a freak! Ha, whatever. At least we won't be rushing today going from mom to mom so we could drop her off "on time."
