Babies: 9 - 12 Months

oh dear god....

so i was browsing the baby names board (which may be my new fav btw) and there was a post about how would you pronounce Caroline (line or lynn essentially). This was my favorite answer. This girl is crazy.....

Hmm... it must be a regional thing.  Around here and considering everyone I know, anyway, Caroline is pronounced the same as Carolyn, just like Catherine is pronounced the same as Kathryn.

Caro-LINE sounds odd to me.  Like Carolina, but without the A?

I think if you want to ensure that people will say Caro-LINE, not Caro-LYNN, you'd have to spell it "Carolein" or "Caroleine" or something like that."

Number one genius Kathryn and Catherine are the same name.... have you ever heard of anyone named cathe RINE (long i)??! Number two - Carolein/Caroleine?!? are you kidding me? How have you never heard the name Caroline? I have people pronounce it wrong a lot, but seriously - since when is Caroline a weird out there name??
