Grr, DH

We're "fighting".  I honestly can't remember all the intricacies of what it's about, but it had to do with a variety of things.  It ended with my opening up with a big explanation to which he responded "Fine."  I said "That's it?"  He said "That's it."  And I stormed upstairs.  Anyway, now we're having a battle of wills as to who's going to break first.  So far, I've done well at the silent treatment.

So, he tells me he's going to get something to eat because it's clear neither of us feel like cooking and asks if I want something.  I flip my hair nonchalantly and say, "where are you going?"

"Long John Silver."

"Uh, no thanks."  See how independent I am?  How much I don't need you?

So off he goes.

Now he's back and it smells so good.  I don't even LIKE Long John Silver, but now I want it.  It would probably look horrible if I went and got it now, wouldn't it?

(And yes, I'm a grown woman of 30 and I know that the silent treatment is incredibly immature and no, I won't let it continue til we go to bed.  I'm just pissed and unbeknownst to me til earlier, I was PMS-y.  I just don't quite feel like giving him the satisfaction of saying so yet.)

    Ughh, I know how you feel!  I vote get the Long John Silvers if it makes you feel better.  Otherwise, come have a drink with me!

    DH and I got into a little "tiff" today too.

    I should totally bribe my DH into getting me a shake somewhere...although he seems to be in a crappy mood at the moment.

    I to am a grown woman and have given the silent treatment for days. No, I'm not proud of it, but it happens. If I were you, I'd go out to Long John Silver or where ever you want to eat and just eat it there. You'll get some fresh air and a quiet meal.

    I honestly have the same reaction you do when DH gets me pissed.  And, I don't care how crappy of a person it makes me sound but we had a situation like this in the past.  He went out to get his food and then I went out to get mine from the same place lol.  I say if you're hungry, go get it.
