    You buy a monitor, which costs about $200.  You can find deals online.

     Basically, the next time you get your period you have to set the monitor as the start of your cycle.  You pee on these sticks and put them into the monitor to read your hormone levels.  Each time, it gives you a reading of low, high or PEAK fertility (with a little egg icon).

    The test sticks are about $30 for a box of 30, but you only use 10 or so per cycle.
