Can you recommend a baby belly photographer?

I have taken NO pictures of myself this pregnancy, and I want some! I never got the professional ones w/DD, but I thought it would be nice to do some this time, and I can even include her.

I know there are a few photographers in greater Seattle who do this from ads I've seen. But I'm an east coast transplant and still kind of unfamiliar w/the area and all its resources.

Did any of you have belly pics taken and have a really good OR bad experience? I would so appreciate hearing about it!

Evening Magazine recently had an episode about pregnancy photographers and I believe this lady is the one they interviewed. https://www.jenniferloomis.com/your_session.html Her work looks gorgeous but I haven't had first hand experience with her.

Kate is 300/session. You get a CD with all of the images. Pretty standard fee.

I am also using Kate for my belly session. I have spent quite a few hours researching photographers and her rate is pretty standard. I however know someone that does maternity photos for $100 I believe. If you want her info, email me at brianne.makanani at hotmail dot com.

Bri, that sounds good, but before I get her info, may I ask why you chose Kate over this person? I do want decent quality...

I highly recommend fellow Nestie, stacey (spacystaci). She took some awesome pictures of my belly, and like you, I have a daughter, too! I highly recommend her, and you get a cute CD of all your pictures!

I chose Kate because I told her I always wanted to work with her (I used her for work functions, but never personal). Since DH and I saved up enough to afford her, we chose to use her for our belly shots and use Ann (the photographer I am recommending to you) for our baby's photos (newborn, 3 month, 6 month, etc.).

Lol! That's what I'm talkin' bout! I don't mean to sound cheap, but... oh, he!! with it. To be completely honest, it's DH who's cheap. No only did he look at me like I was nuts when I asked for belly pics for Mother's Day, he would NEVER approve $300 for photos. I would actually be ok with it, b/c I believe these life events are precious enough to warrant that, but he cringes at every. single. expense. regardless. So if I want these pictures at all, I really have to be budget conscious.
