Our original plan was for me to stay home after the baby was born. Then at about 8 weeks (mid July of last year) I lost my job. I got a new one a few weeks later and still our plan was for me to stay home after baby. Then in December DH lost his job and suddenly my plans to be a SAHM went right out the window. Now DH is a SAHD.
DH is a licensed architect but right now of course with the market and people losing their home equity no one is really hiring architects or building new homes. Even if they were and he was doing well, we still get our insurance from my employer anyway.
