So I just came back from lunch and I was in the elevator with 2 black dudes and an older white woman. She goes "don't forget to wish the women in your life a happy mother's day, or rather yo baby's momma." WTF. Umm if she had known either one of them she would have known that one of them is married and has 2 daughters, so suffice to say he does not have a "baby momma."

I'm sure she thought she was being cute/funny and didn't intend to say some ignit racist shiite but I really can't imagine she would have said that to two white men standing there. And trying to explain that to my co-worker is a whole nother issue.Hmm

    Okay wait - this lady was your co-worker?  If so you owe it to her to tell her how wrong she was for her comments...because I am afraid if she says this to the wrong person she could get seriously hurt.

    Did she think that was "what the cool kids say"? Maybe it was just an awful attempt at trying to look hip. I really hope she didn't intentionally say that!

    No no, she isn't my co-worker. But when I cam back into the office I had a look on my face that said WTF and I told my co-worker  what just happened. She went on to inform me that I shouldn't assume it was racist and she probably would have said that to anyone.
