Confused about mp (might be tmi)

Okay, so yesterday when I was at the doctors office, my ob told me I was 4 cm dialated, and I was so surprised. I told her I hadn't had any signs of labor like nesting instinct or losing my plug. She told me I would have had to lose my plug awhile ago in order to be THAT dialated.

But this morning, I swear I just lost it! I don't understand... it didn't look like some of the descriptions I have seen here tho. I seriously looked like a piece of raw chicken... same color and everything.

Could my ob have been mistaken and I wasn't really dialated that much? or was that not my plug? I just don't get it!

I would think that your ob would know if you lost your plug or not. But maybe she was mistaken in that regard.

I've heard that you can lose them and then they can regenerate. Maybe that is what happened?

I apparently lost my plug and never knew with my DD. But I'm not sure what you saw this morning. Maybe giving your doc a call wouldn't be a bad idea?

sounds like that was your mucus plug this a.m. it must have been clinging to the edge of your cervix or something?
