I started out w/ sposies and hated them. They stink, they're expensive, they take up a ton of room in the trash, I had CONSTANT blowouts (and tried 4 or 5 brands). I hate them. Thus the switch to cloth
I haven't had a single blowout since. No washing poop off of cute outfits, no washing poop off of swings, bouncers, play seats, etc.
They're cute. Laundry isn't dificult at all and you can safe a buck too. I love them
it can get pricey, but can be cheap depending on how you shop and what you get.... I splurged on 2 longie/diaper/shirt sets, but other than that spent about $375 on 30 diapers, 14 hemp inserts and some bum spray... Seconds or store closig sales are a great idea if you want all new diapers... otherwise you can buy used from a lot of people. I haven't had a blowout the way I did in sposies, and if you get AIOs,pockets or fitteds I think they are just as convenient as sposies.... PFs scare me...
I used sposies until 2 months and decided to switch to CDs to save money and I was tired of driving to the store every few weeks to buy more diapers.
So, they are more convenient imo. You toss in your washer and do the laundry. If you decide to use cloth wipes at home, that's one less thing you have to keep buying over and over again as well. If you BF initially, the diapers go straight in the wash. Once baby starts solids, you can use a liner to catch most of the poo, which supposedly makes laundry easier. I haven't personally done this yes since baby is still EBF.
ok - mess: with sposies, you get major poo blowouts occasionally. doesn't really happen in CDs. you might get pee leaks if the diaper doesn't fit well or you go too long without changing.
CDing is more fun (who would have thought that) because they are so cute. And they are softer and more comfortable for baby imo. And you can save more money over long haul.

My main concern would be mess & convenience. With my daughter we only used disposable...i'd like to make a change.
cute family pic!
