Wait, no one told me to do anything to DS's circ!

in Babies: 0 - 3 Months

We used petroleum jelly until the incision healed, but nobody gave us further instructions.  I am supposed to be pulling back the skin? What do I look for?!

He's almost a month old, what kind of damage could be done since I havent done it?  

Stupid doctors not telling me important things :(

    Um...wtf are you talking about. You don't need to do anything unless there is a problem.

    yea no one told me to do anything either, but when we went for his 2 month shots (at the new pedi that i loooove) he told me to pull the skin back and clean that white goop. if you don't clean it, it can act as a glue and adhere the skin to itself and the dr has to pull it back. just pull the skin back once a day and clean it.

    Mandys post below had me seriously scared.  I have been cleaning around the head pretty well, so I'm sure all is fine.  

    But I dont have a penis, so what do I know?! LOL.

    Doesn't your DH have one?  Shouldn't he know how to clean it?  DH told me that we needed to pull back the skin on DS penis, but DS isn't circ'd so that's not how you clean a non-circ'd penis.
