Don't Recommend a Dr if You Don't Like Them!

My girlfriend had highly recommended her pediatrician to me a thousand times while I was pregnant.  However, I asked my OB who her kids saw, and she gave me a great recommendation and so far, I'm very happy.  Yesterday, my friend IMs me that she is so unhappy with her son's pediatrician and that he constantly brushes off her concerns and he has a horrible bed-side manner.  She asked me if I liked the Dr I picked out and I told her I couldn't be happier.  So she asked me for her number so she could meet her.

Now, I don't mind sharing info and I'm glad to help, but she recommended her son's Dr to me, over and over and over again.  Now she says, "I don't think I was ever that thrilled with the way he handled [her DS]."

So my thing is, Don't recommend your Dr just because you have one. Jeesh!

    Amen to that.  I don't love my ob/gyn practice (though I'm too lazy to find a new one), and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.  Why would you recommend someone you're not happy with?
