Sorry if this has been asked a billion times, but what are you guys packing for your LO's for the hospital? I know I've seen posts about this before, but I hadn't paid much attention b/c I figured it was obvious. Maybe I was wrong. I've been starting to put things together for the hospital, and while I was getting clothes together for DD to wear home, I was wondering what else I should bring.
I know that when I had DD #1, she pretty much just wore the standard hospital onsie and hat until it was time to come home. I don't remember packing a seperate bag with just stuff for her. This time, I put in a couple of outfits (the special "homecoming" outfit I bought for DD#1 ended up getting spit up on after she wore it for about 5 minutes...bring extra clothes girls!!!), a couple of recieving blankets, and then normal diaper bag stuff (diapers, travel wipes, pacifiers...anything that would normally be in there anyway.
Is there stuff I'm just not thinking about? What am I missing girls? Help me out!
Re: What did you pack for your LO? (hospital bag)
I was just going to pack an outfit and a couple receiving blankets.
I was told that I wouldn't need the diaper bag or the stuff inside because the hospital will have everything I need. Why use my stuff if I can just theirs, right?
Maybe I'm wrong though, who knows.?
I pack the cross over long sleeved tee's (they have the little hand covers on them already)& some nice swaddle blankets. The cross over tee's or onsie's are the best since their little heads & necks are so fragile and then you don't have to worry about putting it over them, with the cross overs you just lay then on top of them and the dressing goes so much smoother.
I also like Mam pacifiers, but the hospital with give you a soothie so it is not something you have to pack, but my kids have never taken to that pacifier so the newborn Mams is what I pack. Of course I also bring a "coming home outfit" b/c every baby derserves to look special on the day they are intriduced to their environment
Other than that, the hospital covers all other areas very well...I just think their swaddle blankets are rough and chemically feeling.
