Moby wrap - convince me!

I have a sling, and DD and DS like it (separately, obviously) about 50% of the time.  I'd love to be able to wear one of them rather than hold (because one usually wants to be held, and it's alot to hold a baby every waking hour . . . or to get anything done while holding a baby).  What makes the Moby great?  If your LO didn't like the sling, did they like the Moby?  Which one did you buy (I saw there are 3 different ones)?

Thanks!

  • with the moby you can wear both of them :)

i have just the plain ol moby in sienna. p loves when i wear him bc he can be with me and see everything, and i can actually get stuff done.

  • You can wear both babies at the same time with the MOBY.

DS loves being in his.  And figuring out how to wrap it on you is not difficult.

It's a bit warm though.  At least it was today.

  • a lady on etsy is selling a no sew pattern to make your own moby so you don't have to pay $70.  I haven't made mine yet but the pattern is extremely easy.
  • Totally off subject, but my cousin's name is Britton - I have never seen it anywhere else!

Mine was $33 and change.  Tax and shipping incl.

I would not have paid $70.

  • I don't have the Moby...I have a sleepy wrap, which is basically the same thing from what I can see.  I love it because it is super comfy and I can get things done while he's in it.  Plus, he falls right to sleep.

It's convenient for a quick trip into the store, too, cuz I can just slip him in and have my hands free if I need them (Travel systems are too much of a hassle to lug around everywhere and we don't have a lightweight stroller yet).

I like wraps better than slings because you are totally hands free.  Have you ever tried the tummy to tummy (where baby is upright) position in a sling?  My kiddo hated the cradle hold but loves tummy to tummy - that's the basic moby hold.

It really is worth the investment - and you could totally learn to carry both at once if you wanted!

  • I bought the Moby for the same reason you want to. DD's hated it. I tried to put them in a few times and they cried until I took them out. They were crammed in there. So I have only used it twice, separately. I like my Baby Bjorn if I am going to carry them separately.
