if your dc has a pillow

when did you give it to him/her?  we are moving dd to her crib from our bed and i gave her a little half pillow to keep her from banging her head against the bars.  also she liked sharing my pillow in our bed.  is it still a danger if she's super strong and mobile?

    We asked the pedi about it at DS's 15 month appointment and she told it was fine for him to have.  We went out the next day and bought one.

    I really don't know why we waited until then or why she said it was OK though.  I would say ask your pedi about it to be sure.

    We put the bumper back in about a month ago because she'd bang her head against the slats or get feet stuck in there.

    She doesn't seem to need a pillow for now, but if she preferred one I would feel extremely comfortable giving her one at this point.

    I actually looked this up on Baby Center and it said not before 2 yrs.

    DS has had a pillow for months. It's on the flatter side, not too puffy or firm. His head and neck are super strong and I firmly believe there is no way he could suffocate himself.
