I work 30 hours a week. I will return to that schedule. Although as of right now, I work M-F 6 hours. I would like to work M-Th doing 2 eight hour days and 2 even hour days, but I still have to ask my boss.
I *plan* on returning to work for two six-hour days per week. DS will be with my mom one day, and in daycare the other.
My employer knows that may change my mind once I'm out on leave (they have been fabulous in dealing with me).
See, I want to SAH, and probably should SAH (since I don't make a lot of money, after paying for daycare, I'll only be taking home about $5/hour)... BUT, I love my job and am looking at returning a couple days/week as keeping my foot in the door. I figure - one day in daycare and one day with his grandma isn't going to hurt DS. I would feel guilty if I had to return to work full time, but would not hesitate to do so for even a second if my income was crucial to our family.
I feel lucky that I get to wait to make my "final decision" when baby is here.
I haven't worked since DD1 was born. I may get a p/t job in the fall, but am not sure because childcare is so expensive that it would have to be around DH's erratic schedule (he's a graduate student, so basically always working).
I will be returning to work FT but only 36 hours a week and starting another semester for grad school after the baby is born. I will have 12 weeks off from it all though. I could not be a FT SAHM I do it PT now and will cont to do it PT because I will only be working 3 days a week.
i will be going back to work...being a sahm is my dream but i make more then dh and have the benefits SO.... i will be returning after 8 weeks or if dh gets a good job (he is a teacher and out of a job come august) i may take off for 20 weeks... we shall see
I would love to SAH but right now I don't know how practical that is since I have the health benefits.
But, I am looking at alternatives (part time/work from home) because if I pay for daycare then it's one of those "is it worth it?" questions. If I go back f/t I will need to change my schedule though.
I will be staying at home after the baby comes. I have always held a full time job, so it might be a bit of an adjustment for me, but I really am looking forward to having all this time with my LO.

I will be returning to work full time after 12 weeks. However I do work FT from home. DH is a fireman and works 24 hrs on and 48 hrs off, so he will be here at least 3 and sometimes 4 days during the work week so he'll be the primary caregiver while I'm working on those days. The other 1 or 2 days I will have my mom or my cousin who SAH and lives near help me out.
i am going to be a sahm for at least the first 15 months. i teach and took a full year off. We will decide from there if I go back or not (depends on my sanity, financial, etc).
EDD with #4 01-20-14 Proud mama to a boys- 6/17/09 - a girl 2/23/11- and a boy 8/20/12
I'll be back in the office 3 days/w and work from home 1 day. Thursdays I am watching my nephew and my sister is taking my son Tues so we'll have to pay for daycare 2 days a week.
That sounds confusing...working 4 days instead of 5. I think it should be a good balance, but I still have to pick a daycare.
As of right now I will be going back FT after 12 weeks of leave. DH will be up for a large promotion at the end of the year, so hopefully he gets that and I would only have to work PT. Otherwise, we can't afford for me to not work FT right now.
