NSAIFR - Auto/Home Insurance

Hi ladies,

If you are happy with your automobile and home insurnace provider, can you tell me who you have.  Our company, Encompass, raised our rates about 15%.  We haven't had a claim, accident, ticket or anything.  They said that they had an expensive year so they are raising rates across the board.  This is in addition to a 6% across the board rate hike last year.   

I received a quote from State Farm but wanted to get two more quotes before making a decision.

    We have Erie insurance for auto, home, and life. I've been happy with them.

    I don't think this will help you at all but we have New Jersey Manufacturer's for our auto (they only insure in NJ/PA) and USAA for our homeowner's. ?We were able to get the USAA since DH's dad had it, but if you have a military connection you could probably get it too. We used to have them for auto but are paying a little less with NJM.

    I've been with Mutual of Enumclaw for years.  I've shopped around several times and I always get the lowest quotes from them.

    We have Geico and I have been amazed by their service and how quick our first claim was handled. They didn't even raise our rates. I was very pleasantly surprised by how much better, and cheaper, the service is over State Farm. We have insured both our cars, and our home, with better coverage than we had with State Farm for only $200 more a year than I was paying for my car alone with State Farm. Plus, we also had no tickets or claims and State Farm raised our rates $160 dollars a year, which is why we left...

    We have State Farm for both. We both come from State Farm families...parents (my four and his two) all had/have State Farm and have for years. We both had our own policies as teens and just combined together when we got married. Never had any complaints and our rates haven't gone up.

    We have Liberty Mutual and they have been great.  Great rates and customer service.

    We have State Farm.  I've had it since I needed car insurance.  My family has had State Farm as long as I can remember.  We have the car, house, jewelry, and I have a small likfe insurance policy with them.  We have been very satisfied with them.  They haven't raised our rates.
