"I'm pregnant" or "We're pregnant" ?

Will you (do you) say "I'm pregnant" or "We're pregnant?"

I will say "I'm pregnant" because I will be the one sporting the cankles and stretch marks while DH will be able to drink beer and sleep on his stomach.

DH says "We're pregnant" (as in "when we're pregnant") which I find surprising, since he's such a good ole boy. He hates words like ovulation and menstrual, but he'll say "we're pregnant."

Good question...I'll probably end up saying both in different situations. I asked DH and he says he will say the same as your DH "We're pregnant"

Definitely NOT "we". He didn't give up coffee, diet coke, and alcohol. He's not the one growing out his clothes. He's not the one that sprint to the bathroom every time there's CM in his undies!

I think I will prob end up using both in different situations. Most likely I will say Im pregnant (bc hopefully it will be me and not DH). Then I will say that we are expecting.?

I always said/say "we're pregnant" because when you're not showing and you say "we're expecting" it takes people an extra second to figure out what it is you are actually expecting.

Plus it's our baby and DH has a lot to contribute even if it's not his own physical pregnancy.

I agree with this, although I suspect DH will say "we." I've already heard him say things like "when we're pregnant" or "they're pregnant." I don't mind, really. If I had to wait on him to be willing to carry a living being in his womb, we would never have a baby. Wimp

I'm pregnant. Mainly because my husband hates "we're pregnant". He says he isn't & there is no need say it that way.

I think I will say "we" for all of the above. I figure its our baby, not just my baby even though I will be the one doing the work. He will have to tolerate me being a homronal pregnant woman, so I think he'll probably feel like he did some work to.

I'm not a fan of we're pregnant...but fine w/we're having a baby, b/c I think it's understood that the man will not be giving birth, hahahaha. I think that it wouldn't really bother me if DH said we're pregnant, but I wouldn't say it myself probably.

That is a great question!

I am not sure yet what I will say. When I am talking to him I say, "when we get pregnant..." When I talk to my sister I say, "when I get pregnant..." I guess it just depends on the situration.
