4 and A half Weekers?

Hey, My husband and I are 4 and a half weeks pregnant. Anyone else due in January? I need to talk to someone with the same symptoms. I'm so nervous I'm not having the right ones or that it's all a dream and one day I'll wake up and the little one really isn't there. Anyone else?

  • I am 4 weeks, 2 days.  We just found out yesterday, and were not TTC yet!  We were going to start trying in September, so this came as a bit of a shock :).  We are excited, but super nervous as well.

Main symptom?  Reeeally sore breasts.  They hurt!!  I have never had breast tenderness before.

It does not feel real right now.

Keep in mind that there are no "right" symptoms.. and congrats on your pregnancy! :)

  • I am due on January 12th!

So far I am queasy off and on, and I have mild cramps that come and go.  Other than that I feel pretty great.  I think everyone is so different as to when, what and the severity of their symptoms.

I want to be like one of those woman that has no idea she is pregnant until she goes into labor!!

  • Congrats to you shopgirl. I've been having alot of symptoms. Tirdness, Hunger, cramps, and now finally nausea. My doc said I shouldn't feel any of those until week 6 or 7 so I'm kinda weirded out.
  • There are no right or wrong symptoms.  Everyone will experience pregnancy differently from other women and even from different pregnancies in each woman.

If it makes you feel better - my boobs are sore, tender, bigger and my nipples are bigger and darker.  I've had BAD nausea and vomiting with this pregnancy (previous pregnancies didn't include vomiting).  I am a lot more tired than usual, but nowhere near as exhausted as my pregnancy with Chickadee.  I'm peeing more than usual for me, but it's not crazy like it was with my pregnancy with Chickadee.

The thing is though - symptoms don't mean much.  I had every symptom under the sun and still lost my baby.  Women with no symptoms have had very healthy pregnancies.

Just do your best to relax and enjoy your pregnancy, however long it lasts.  You can't change the outcome at this point, unfortunately.  Whatever is going to happen is going to happen.

  • I'm exhausted, but I also have a 15-month old DD and 75 eighth graders that think school is over!  Also, I'm peeing a ton.  I was hoping for, but not expecting, a BFP this month, so it's still very surreal.
  • Angie212, I am a teacher too.

  • I'm 4w5d - sore breasts, bloated, gassy, peeing frequently.  I had one bout of morning sickness on Monday but, none since.  Every once in a while I have a light crampy feeling.

When are you done for the year?  My kids are done June 10 (teachers are there until the 16th,) and I am definitely counting down the days...

  • I'm 4 weeks, 4 days.  I have been tired...but I'm kind of blaming that on wrapping up the year (another teacher here) and getting ready to have a sub for 2 days while I'm in a wedding.  I have been peeing a ton...but have also been drinking a ton of water.  Main symptoms are sore boobs (this really kicked in today), gassy, queasy after I eat anything, and bloated.  At first I thought it was in my head over the weekend (thought I was just excited from getting my BFP), but when I notice I'm not feeling well while teaching, I know it isn't in my head!  I am kind of scared because everything I've read/heard says that symptoms kick in week 6...so if I'm already feeling this way, what's in store???  Oh well...SO worth it! :)
  • I know exactly how you feel! We just found out yesterday, and I'm totally not believing it. I have peed on 4 sticks already, just so I can try to convince myself. It's just not tangible right now. I have no symptoms. Zero. The only reason I know I'm pregnant is because those tests tell me so. It is the most bizarre thing in the world.

Watch out January, here we come!!

  • Hi Girls.  I'm Jen and I'm new to The Bump.   We are also just over 4 weeks, due 01/10/10.   So far, I've had nausea, cramps, heart palpitations (just once), feel bloated, gassy & hungry!!  LOL.  I guess the good part is that my boobs aren't that sore. Yes Congrats to all!!

  • yeah i am 4 weeks now. really had no problemsBig Smile
  • I'm 4 weeks 6 days today. I had steady cramping up until a few days ago and now it's just off and on. As of yesturday afternoon, I started to feel light-headed and that hasn't gone away yet. Today for the first time I'm feeling really nauseous. It's like I want to throw up, but can't.

    4W, 5D here.

Already: Mild cramping 24/7, a bout of "lightning crotch" yesterday, general forgetfulness, inability to concentrate, some insomnia, and I fell asleep at 7:30 last night.

How's that for an early symptom roundup.

Oh, and I almost cried at a Sears commercial.
