I have never felt old before, but I do now. I want two kids but don't know if I have the energy now. TTC for 4 years, started with twins, lost one at around 11 weeks. The rest is history. I am probably the oldest person on this site. So, am I just tired because I have a 3mo, or do ALL of you younger ladies feel prepared for your next? Any suggestions? I know it is not easy for anyone, but does age matter?
Re: So I just turned 39, first baby
I don't know if it's age, but I definitely feel a little worn out at the end of the day. But I still want another in two years... Addicted to babies! Ha ha!
And I'm 33, going on 34 this year, so I'm not too far behind you...

Hey there! It is nice to see someone else in their late 30s here!! I just turned 39 two days after my son was born in March. This is my first baby also and we would like to have another one at some point. When I was pregnant I thought I was done having kids, now I could see having another baby. I know time is an issue. My ob told me to start trying again in 6 mos! yikes!
I think most moms during the first 6 mos. are exhausted and a little out of it! Hang in there and congratulations!
Well, I'm 34... I have the philosophy that having kids now will help keep me young. I want them to be active and that will keep me active. I was already active before, but now I have to set a good example :-).
DH has always wanted more than one kid, I'm warming up to the idea of more than one... during labor, I recall thinking "NEVER AGAIN," but as soon as she was born and I saw her, my first thought was "OMG, LET'S DO THIS AGAIN RIGHT AWAY!!" - so since I'm not getting any younger, if we have another, we're going to do it quickly (or at least try, we had some IF issues the first time around). I have a feeling these early years are going to be among the most demanding/tiring for me ~ I'd like to get the whole pregnant/birth/diapers phase over and done with!

Honestly, I think you're just tired b/c you have a 3 m/o.
I'm 31 and while I can't wait to have another, I can't really imagine doing it with a child already. Having a baby w/o exiting children to take care of was difficult enough.
My mom had me at 38 and my sister at 44. I figure if she can do it so can you (and me.)
