How often do you see family?

And which ones do you see? DH and I's parents and siblings live close by and the parents come over 1-2 times a week to see DD and the siblings have each seen DD twice since she was born a month ago. My sister thinks I am not spending enough time with her but there are a lot of issues there. I only saw my Uncles and Aunts growing up during the holidays (1-2 times a year!) How often do you see your family?

Dh's family lives 1.5 hrs away, we see them about once a month. My parents live 3.5 hrs away, we see them every 2-3 months. We see our siblings when they are at our parents houses when we are.

My mom and grandparents live 2.5 hours away. They are the closest to us.

My IL's live almost 7 hours away in another state, sister lives 9 hours away and my dad and other grandmother live across the country in California.

So, needless to say, we don't see family much. My IL's have seen the baby twice, same thing with my mom. The rest of the family hasn't even seen her yet.

Both my and DH's family live within 15 minutes of us and we usually see both sides at least once a week.

For me, it's a matter of distance. Family that lives close (under a 30 min drive), we see almost every day of the week. Family that lives far away (airplane required), we see once or twice a year.

Our nearest family is 1400 miles away! DH's and my parents and a few other random family members usually fly out to see us 3-4 times a year. And we go see them about twice a year.

My In-laws and my dad both live in the same city as us. We do dinner w/the in-laws every Sunday night along with DH sister and her husband and kids. We see my dad 2x a month because of his work travel schedule. And my mom we see her whenever she makes it up here as she lives in Canada. She usually comes up every couple of months as she still owns businesses here.

We have not been home for over 2 years. However the IL's came out when DD was born. We are going home in a week, I can not wait.
