  • You can sleep on your stomach as long as it's still comfortable.

  • Sleep however is comfortable for you.  Once your belly starts getting bigger you probably won't want to sleep on your belly anymore.  I use pillows to help keep me on my sides, which helps.
  • i'm still sleeping on my stomach.  your body will tell you when you need to change - it will become uncomfortable.  enjoy the sleep while you can.
  • I slept on my stomach until about two weeks ago. Now it just hurts. I keep a pillow between my legs, but may switch to a body pillow soon. Now I'm completely comfortable on my side.
  • I'm a hard-core back sleeper, and switching to my side has been tough for me. ?I currently sleep with two pillows-- one between my knees, and the other either hugged to my chest or stuffed behind my back. ?By the time it gets to be past 3 a.m. or so, my hips usually hurt from the weight of being on my side. ?Sometimes I resort to sleeping in a semi-on-my-back position, with the pillows holding one hip and shoulder up higher than the other.

I know some ladies swear by the body pillow. ?I didn't want to buy a new pillow, and I actually like having two so I can move the second one around.?

  • My body is just beginning to tell me now that I can't sleep on my belly anymore.

Last night I slept terribly because I kept (not consciously) trying to roll onto my belly and would then have to roll over.  It sucked, but I'm sure I'll get used to it quickly.

  • I sleep on my stomach but put a pillow under my leg to kind of lift me up a little. It is hard to change. I may fall asleep one way but end up on my stomach.
  • I'm not necessarily a "stomach sleeper" - but I did get a Snoogle awhile ago and it's AWESOME.  Except that DH hates it because it makes it harder for him to get close to me..hehe.  Oh yeah, and that changing positions with it is a bit tricky..I've got it down to a science...except that last night one kitty was sleeping up against my stomach (or as close as he could get...) and the other by my feet....so I was STUCK!
  • ohhhh a snoogle? whats that? Im gonna google it now....i have a snuggie but love a snoogle!

  • I use two pillows, one between the legs and one under my belly.
  • Just to throw my 2 cents in...I HATE my snoogle. I can't get comfortable, can't change positions and it's flimsy, kind of skinny for between the knees when you are on your side. I get by much better with 2 body pillows, one behind me and one in front of me with my regular pillow under my head. Much cozier!

The Snoogle is helpful but mine ends up on the floor every night!

I am still able to sleep on my stomach.  It is really hard not to!

  • This is the same for me, but I do use a standard body pillow. I try each side but by 2am I'm on my back with a slight lift on one side. It's the only way I can sleep more than 2 hours at a time. I don't think it really matters until I start to feel that nerve pressure while on my back.

  • I could definitely see how not everyone would like the snoogle...but it really works for me!  it's not SUPER thick - but that's better for me actually (for now) - when I've tried to use regular pillows - they don't stay in place and they're TOO thick...the snoogle gives me a lot of support.
  • I kept sleeping on my stomach until it became uncomfortable a few weeks ago..now I use a pillow in between my legs and kind of tilt my hip on it.  It's very complicated.  Just find the position thats the most comfortable for you.
  • I will sleep on my tummy as long as possible. I still get nausous everytime I try and sleep on my sides.
  • I love my Snoogle too, but I can see how some people wouldn't. I normally sleep on my back or stomach so it really helps keep me on my side, I curl up all around it.?
  • i sleep half on my side half on my stomach.?
  • I do this sideways half-on-my-stomach thing with whatever leg is opposite of the side I'm sleeping on sticks out some and sort of keeps me only a little on my tummy and mostly on my side (but not really). It requires some room, but DH hasn't complained. =D

  • It stopped being comfortable to sleep on my stomach last week. I went out and got a pregnancy pillow and it has really helped.

  • I can still manage to sleep on my stomach with my hips kind kicked to the side for my belly... the pregnancy pillow is a godsend though.... I can even make a doughnut out of it for my stomach to fit in and lie on my tummy that way Big Smile

I started feeling uncomfortable around 15 weeks on my tummy and back.  But would always flip over while asleep and then wake myself up.  I found the only thing that helped is the Snoogle pillow.  I LOVE that thing!

  • I still sleep 1/2 on my stomach and 1/2 on my side. It's the only way I can get a good night's sleep.
  • sleep however you are comfortable. I'm a crazy sleeper. I go from my back to each side all night long.
  • I try so hard but end up on my stomach too.
  • I am definately an avid stomach sleeper.. I also move  a LOT in my sleep. My bf states I do the mt. climber in my sleep. one leg bent one straight..one arm bent under my head and the other straight. lol I started the sleeping on my side thing about 3 weeks ago..cuz i just knew i'd have such a hard time with it. I started w/ a regular pillow inbetween my hips and would kind of hug it. That worked for a while, but now i'm onto a full body pillow which, sadly, i spoon with more than my hubby. He is i'm sure, definately getting the idea that the couch will be a place for him soon due to me moving so much, and it's even worse cuz i move the pillow w/ me. Hah. he's running out of room in our bed! <3

  • I sleep on my tummy. I've TRIED ever since I found out I was pg to sleep on my side & would end up back on my stomach. It's now become uncomfortable so I sleep on my side with 2 KING size pillows, one in between my knees and one behind me...DH says I look like I'm building a fort for protection...lol but it's the only way I can get to sleep.

  • i have just recently been unable to comfortably sleep on my belly. ?I use a full body pillow and lay on my left side. ?I can prop myself kind of in between being on my belly and on my side. I found this to be the most comfortable for me. ?It did take some time to adjust to the new?position?so be patient it will be kind of?awkward...best of luck.
  • Yeah i still sleep on my stomach too. I asked my dr and he said as long as im still comfortable then its ok. Your body will let you know when its time to try your side. Lately ive been starting out so that im still on my stomach yet turn just so that im kind of on my side or at least beginning to turn on my side and i actually find it very comfortable.

But your good until your body and baby lets you know its not cool to sleep on your stomach anymore

  • I had to buy a Snoogle pillow. A regular body pillow ended up on the floor most nights but my Snoogle has been a Godsend!
