anyone using prometrium?

My Dr gave me a RX at about 5 weeks. I seem to remember her saying we would stop it at 16 weeks as long as everything looked ok. At my last appointment she didnt mention it and I honestly didnt think about asking her. I put a call into her office yesterday and again today and no one has called me back Huh?. Is anyone else using this and if so when did they say you would stop using it?

    I stopped mine at 12 or 13 weeks after that time it doesn't help anything according to my doctor, because the placenta would take over.

    I was on Prometrium after I O'd.  When they confirmed my pregnancy the RE told me to stop using it @ week 14.  This allowed ample time for the placenta to take over and produce the hormones that I needed. 

    Every person is different I've heard of docs taking people off prometrium as early as 10 weeks - so it is best to wait for the call back from your doctor's office.

    I stopped at 8 weeks...we were going to go till 12 weeks but decided to end it earlier in hopes of maybe helping with my constipation issue.

    I was taken off at 12 weeks - ditto PPs regarding the placenta.

    i was off at 8 weeks because of side effects..... my RE said once the placenta has taken over progesterone production, you don't need the supps anymore.

    I was on it from 5 weeks and stopped it between 13 weeks. ?My RX from the Doctor was for 13 weeks.

    I was told I could stop at 12 weeks (ended up stopping at 14 just to use up the Rx).  I think generally you stop after 1st tri, so you should be more than good, but just wait to check with your Dr!
