Is it weird to get a Mother's Day gift while pregnant?

DH bought me an early mother's day gift this week. He bought me emerald stud earrings (May birthstone). I will be giving birth probably right after mother's day. Is it strange to get a gift this year or would my 1st mother's day be considered next year?

    I don't think it is strange, you are mothering the little one, just in your uterus at this point. I think it is a sweet jester!
    A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
    After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
    My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

    My mom already gave me one (she's one of those people who can't have presents for a long time before the occasion). 

    I'm not really expecting anything from DH though...I'll be mighty surprised if he does anything!

    I already plan to get him a mini-father's day gift though even though the babies won't be here.

    You were a mommy the second you got pregnant in my opinion!!!  Defintely not weird - enjoy it.

    I Don't thinks it's strange.  I am planning on getting DH a fathers day gift this year and we are not due until November.

    Not at all! My DH is really sweet and is getting me the new Amazon Kindle for Mother's Day so when the baby comes I will have the Kindle that reads to me so I can still relax and enjoy a good book while feeding the baby even if my hands are full. I thought that was a great idea and very sweet of him to think about that.

    I got gifts and cards last year from my parents/DH and IL's...I didnt think it was weird.  It was all for a mom-to-be :-)
