Anyone's LO stand up during bathtime?

Our DD loves standing up since she recently can do it very well and now loves to stand up during bathtime.  We use the Euro tub in our bathtub and she stands up and moves around trying to walk out of it almost.  My husband helps me while we "try" to give her a bath and keep her seated.  Anyone have a suggestion to make this easier?  She just doesn't want to sit down even though she wobbles around and slips and we have to keep trying to support her and get her to sitting down again.  It makes bathtime very crazy now!

I don't have much advice except to say that we are going through the same thing right now.  I try to stop her from pulling herself to standing and when I make her sit back down she starts crying.  Baths have become real short now...not much play time just get her in and wash her and out...  I try to distract her with toys and such and it doesn't work...

  • Mitch does this. I make him sit down as soon as he starts trying to stand. When he's sitting and playing I praise him with "good boy", "I like the way you're sitting" and "thank you". When he stands up I tell him "no" and that he needs to sit down.

  • Christopher did this for about a month. It made bath time really fast because once he would start to stand we would end bath time. He isn't doing it so much now and when he does I say "all done?" and he sits right down. I think he knows that bath time is over when he starts standing now. I think it is just a phase. HTH
