My trip to the ER last night!

So about 10pm last night I started having awful chest pains. They were so bad I couldn't take a deep breath but only lasted about a minute each. They came in waves. I called the on-call OB and he told me to go to the ER immediately. I forgot to mention I have the flu as well (not swine!). So I went to the ER and the nurses and doctors there were amazing. They hooked me up to EKG, BP, SPO2(oxygen saturation). My EKG was normal as was my SPO2. My BP was a little high for me but within normal limits. The doctor ordered chest x-rays because she told me she was concerned with a blood clot to my lungs (yikes). I stayed in the ER until about 2:30am then went up to L&D to have the baby checked out. They placed me on a fetal monitor for about 45 minutes and everything looked great with her. We finally got discharged and home about 3:30am. I'm exhausted but can't sleep because of this flu. I am home in bed but following up with my OB today.

Last night really scared me. I knew the whole time that my LO was fine but I was worried about myself. DH didn't sleep a wink and watched me sleep all night. The poor thing was beside himself. The only time I saw him relax a little was when he heard our LO on the monitor!

Not sure what's going to happen at this point but I'm taking it a day at a time. My chest pain is gone now and all the tests were normal last night! I'm really hoping I don't have to go on bedrest as I'm having so much trouble with my boss about keeping my job anyway!
