DH and I installed our Britax last night.  With the make of our car we had to put the tether up and over so it clipped in to the back of the car.  How the heck are we supposed to get DD in the seat with the tether there?

    I don't think you need the tether, especially when rear facing. It seems kind of weird to have that going above him.

    Ditto. I didn't use it... it seems very secure without it.  I thought that was weird too.

    Our teether is secured to leg of the passenger seat.  If you are going over the carseat I wouldn't use the teether.

    Ours is also on the leg of the passenger seat.  We had it professionally installed and that's where they did it.

    actually you do.  Go to Britax.com and watch the installation video.  It shows you how to teather it to the passenger seat.

    I thought the same thing until I watched the video. We have ours anchored to the drivers seat leg now. The tether comes with a strap attachment for this which I hadn't realized.

    You dont tether it up and over the top of the seat. You tether it down below to something on the floor.
