tried something kinda devious

I had convinced DH a couple of weeks ago to travel to Kansas City this weekend to shop and have a little "us" time over the weekend (he has to fly out of there anyways for work early Monday morning). I was sooooo excited that he had agreed to go, even though I know Sunday is Mothers Day. See, we aren't exactly getting along with his family right now so it didnt' bother me too much to do this. Also, I am getting really nervous about this Mothers Day. I don't really know what our family members will or won't do for me. Really I don't want them to do anything because to me it is a day to be celebrated, I don't feel like celebrating anything. Annnnnyyyyyways, I thought that I had won, getting to go to KC (knowing that he had forgotten it was Mothers Day Sunday) until he just came in and informed me that we couldn't go because he just remembered Mothers Day................damn it. I know I am being bad, but oh well!! Sorry had to get that off my chest............I really wanted to go!

Damn! I am sorry you can't go. Especially since you were looking forward to it.

I don't think that is necessarily devious. Guys can't remember holidays to save their lives and if you aren't getting along with his family, it isn't anything really exciting to look forward to anyways.
