I am now officially on bed rest.

in 2nd Trimester
And that sucks. I may lose my mind sitting at home. And how much rest will I really get with a 2 and 3 year old running around? But, alas, nothing else has worked. So the plan is, steroid shots are done, I'm on the bed rest, and taking, daily, Procardia to stop contractions and Progesterone to keep the cervix closed. Now I need you ladies to keep me entertained. That means you Red! And keep the good vibes coming. Thanks to everyone for the lovely positive messages.

    You were supposed to be listening to Auntie Red Baby Tampa-ish.

    Grrr I hate when people don't listen to my very firm instructions. They aren't for MY good health after all.

    ?Have they discussed doing a cerclage with you yet?

    I will try to keep you amused to the bestest of my abilities - I promise. I would say Girl Guide's honour but I dropped out.?

    No. Because he seems to be more concerned with the chance of doing that and the associated risk of premature rupture (PROM), which was my issue with previous pregnancies. So, we will try this new course of action and see what happens. And, I did listen to you. This baby just so badly wants to come out and hear all about Red. Can't help her good taste.

    aww good luck! I was on bedrest for a month just got the ok yesterday to go back to work part time (thanks to begging the mw), the first week sucks but it gets better!! Hope everything goes well for you and your baby!!

    ohhh that stinks!

    I was put on bed rest for 5 weeks first trimester. It drove me nuts! The only thing that saved my sanity was my laptop, a netflix membership and being crafty. 

    Maybe finding a hobby will help some.... or get a bunch of great novels,

    I also had lots of visitors. My mom and my SIL came over all the time and brought me food so I didnt have to live off my husbands lack of cooking

    I am on bed rest with you. And in the same boat with the kiddos. I have a 2 year old and it's hard to stay in bed. I go in tomorrow for my steroid shots and from there IDK what they are going to do. I hate not being able to communicate all that well with my Dr's considering they all speak German as their first language and I don't speak more than 5 words in German.
