Did anyone start Swimming classes?

I am debating on whether we should try the aquatots 4-6 month old class? Is it safe for babies this age to be in chlorinated pool water? I am gonna check with our doctor next week, but it does sound fun.

That would require me to get in a bathing suit in public - yeah, that's not gonna happen! My poor children will just have to suffer. Sounds like fun though.

OMG - I can't believe the baby is already 4 months!

There is a swimming program here for parents and babies that starts at 4 months. It's in a special pool that uses some special salt water filter system so they don't need chlorine.

I wanted to start that early, but couldn't find any in my area that were for babies under 6 mo old. We did take DS swimming a couple of times starting at 4 months. I didn't know there was a reason for concern re chlorine but he had no issues with it.

We started at 3 months! I love it, G loves, it's all around a good time.

The swimsuit thing is another issue entirely...

I just googled it and there are none in my area offered for this young. Maybe next summer! We will definitely introduce her to the water though in my MIL's pool and the lake!
