He won't stop kicking my cervix

It's like he knows it's a trap door or something.

Re: He won't stop kicking my cervix

  • Possibly stupid question but how do you know he's kicking your cervix? I've heard other ladies say that and I have no idea what that would feel like other than normal kicking. I guess I haven't experiences it if I have to ask, huh?

I've been wondering the same thing. Last night as I was trying to fall asleep, I felt this odd kicking that wasn't against my abdominal wall -- it was internal and downward, and was a strange, not totally comfortable sensation, but definitely not painful. Cervix?

  • I am right there with you. I am also having major kicks to the bladder. I think I went to the bathroom 5 times last night in 7 hours.
  • my lo kicks my cervix all the time.?

It's a downward kick...and it kind of tingles. It's a different sensation from a kick to the bladder, definately. My LO was doing it for a few weeks, and thankfully switched position. The kicks to the cervix are distracting!

  • I'll confess.  I don't know that it's specifically my cervix, medically speaking.  But it's certainly not my abdominal wall, and it cervical in location.  It's downward in motion.  It's an ouch and not particularly adorable like the other kicks tend to be (other than the rib shot - I don't love the rib shot either).

Tingly! Yep, that was the sensation -- a very strange feeling.

Ha ha! I wasn't doubting you. I just can't say that I know if I've had it so I was curious. I have lots of kicks. Some are lower but I don't think I've felt a cervical kick. And now that I think about it, I'm not sure if I've had a rib kick. That does not sound good!

Maybe I should thank baby for being on good behavior so far! :)

  • I hate the cervix kicks. I usually try rubbing my tummy and say "baby, that doesn't make mommy feel good."  What to Expect When your Expecting, says just to massage baby and try getting baby to move to a different position.

It feels like something hitting your cervix from the inside...it's uncomfortable and kind of makes you jump because of the surprise of it...not really painful...just feels like something wants to come out...like the others that have experienced it, you'll know when it happens.
