SO TINY, but so sweet! I'll just be glad we don't have to go to Greenville, I think we'd have a great experiance at ECU if we needed a NICU, I'd just rather not need one! I've been debating on buying some premie clothes, it's estimated he'll be between 5 and 5 1/2 pounds, WDYT?
I would definitely buy preemie clothes. Eli was wearing them for awhile before he fit into newborn clothes. Chances are that your little guy will be skinny like Eli, so he'll probably fit into smaller clothes longer. But just buy sleepers, don't worry about outfits. He was just shy of 5 lb when we brought him home. He was definitely still wearing preemie clothes until his due date (around 7 lb). And they were pretty big on him at first. You probably can't tell from the pic though. I wish we had taken more pics that day, but it was so hectic until after we got home. When he was first born, they were rolling up the sleeves on them!
I hope you don't need a NICU either, alot of 35 weekers don't. But boys are just a little slower. One of my coworkers had her baby at 35 weeks and went straight home, but she had a girl.
I have a ton of preemie clothes I can bring you if you want. I know it's hard to spend money on them when you don't need them that long. I was planning on donating them back to the NICU after baby #2. It was so nice for them to have clothes there for him to wear, instead of us having to bring them or him wearing a gown.
Here's another pic where you can see just how big that outfit was on him. It wasn't the day we brought him home, but probably only a few days later. I'm sure he would have been 5 lb in this pic, and that's a preemie outfit.
Just thought I'd share that my best friend had her baby 7 weeks early so right about 33 weeks and he weighed a little over 5lbs - he was in the NICU for a couple weeks because of some breathing issues but is perfectly fine and healthy and beautiful.
Definitely buy some preemie clothes, newborn stuff is probably going to be too big for a while!
Wow Mikey, I just can't imagine one so tiny, but I won't be imagining it here soon! I talked with a friend of mine at lunch that delivered twin boys at 30 weeks and she is getting her premie clothes together for me, so please donate yours! Thank you for the offer though, it's super sweet!

Wow, that's a big preemie! Eli was only 3 lb 15 oz at 32 weeks. He would have been a big baby! Good to hear he's happy and healthy.
