MOMMY POLL

So, being that I am currently aggravated by this post:

I'd love to know how many of you shudder at the thought of being called MOMMY.

    I do think it's kind of odd to be called Mommy by other adults, though...

    I voted yes, but there should be a maybe in there.  My DD mainly calls me Mumma but will also call me Mommy, Mummy and just today Mum.  To me anything other than Ma is fine with me.  Ma just makes me think of stereo typical rednecks, don't know why.

    Can I vote for a third option...

    I have no frickin' idea! If the kid starts calling me that I know it will be cute (because everything my child will do will be cute) but if it calls me ma, mama, mom or something similar I don't care.

    I still call my father Daddy.  Most of my friends call their fathers that as well.  And my mother is totally Mama.  I'm fine with either Mommy or Mama.

    I can't really say what my child will call me but if he or she were to call me Mommy, I don't think I would be opposed to it.  Not a big deal to me, lol.
