I wouldn't start painting the nursery after a 15w u/s, though. We even waited until our follow-up u/s at 22w3d for gender confirmation before painting anything gender-specific. ?
I had an u/s at 15 weeks but the tech would not tell us, some techs may tell if its clearly a boy but for most its still too early. I will find out at 18 weeks. Found out with DS at 20 wks and it was obviously a boy.
OB's ultrasound: 14.5 weeks, no guess on gender. Anatomy ultrasound: 17 weeks, 1 day - uncooperative baby. 4D Ultrasound: 17 weeks, 2 days - finally were able to see the goods, confirmed from three angles.
And I have yet another OB ultrasound on Thursday of this week (18 weeks, 4 days) so we may get further confirmation.
Got ours at 15w1d and there was no question it was, in the Dr's words, "a big ol' boy". But she said that if she thought it was a girl, she wouldn't have even brought up if we wanted to know the gender, she would've waited till our appt. at 20w. Good Luck!
My Husband and I went at 15 weeks and 5 days with our families to a facility where you can have all your family be there up to 15 people and they play real soft music in the backround, it was very calming, they did an ultrasound and showed it to our families on a 100 inch screen and she scanned for about 4 minutes and said, it was a girl! She said she was 99% positive. So then we went to my 20 week ultrasound that my doctor did and she said yup its a girl! so at 15 weeks you definantly can tell, now I am 22 weeks along almost 23 and nothings changed..LOL...So get excited they will be able to tell granted that the baby is not in a "no tell" position...
I was 16 wks 3 days. I went to one of those 4d ultrasound places and the earliest they will do a "gender determination" at the one I went to is 16 wks. There was another one close by though that said they would do them at 15 wks. My next one at the dr is still 2 months away so I was anxious to find out ASAP.
What are these 3D/4D places? Is this somewhere you were sent by your doctor or do you just go on your own?
Re: Hi all - when were you able to see the sex of your baby?

You may or you may not..
16 weeks is somewhat early to tell though.
At the 13 week ultrasound, the tech thought it was a girl.
At 17 weeks, we saw that it is most DEFINITELY a boy!
That's what I thought..Thank you all..I will be patient..
I am still a tad early to even be on this board!
Thanks, again, for the input!
OOOH..really? Then maybe they CAN tell...but I still won't get my hopes up!
Thank you,
D.
