Are reversible handlebars on strollers the norm?

Aside from most European companies and Bumbleride, who else has this as a feature?

I am really liking the Bumble Ride Flyer.

  • We got the Kolcraft Contours Options stroller, and you can reverse the seat to face in or out, so basically the same concept. You can also remove the seat entirely and add a bar that?accommodates?an infant car seat, so the stroller is more like a snap-n-go for the first couple months.??

  • No, it's not the norm. I think one of the Peg Perego strollers has that feature too but those are the only 2 I know of. I was thinking about the Flyer too until I saw that a lot of the reviews were from people who were unsatisfied with it and had problems. Supposedly the quality isn't very good and it breaks and has problems with its parts. The Indie (their jogging stroller) is supposed to be much better. I didn't want a jogging stroller so we went with the Inglesina Zippy instead.

Really?  All I have read were really good reviews from "experts" to consumers.  Yeah I didn't want a jogging stroller either, they look nice.

  • We have the Mutsy 4-Rider, and the seat reverses... (same effect as a reversable handlebar)...

my sense is that it's a pretty rare "feature"

Baby Bargains said that the Flyer needs work and the customer reviews for it on their website aren't very good. I googled reviews for it too and remembered them being about 50/50. Like Baby Bargains said - a lot of people like their Flyer but not many actually love it. That was the general feel I was getting from the reviews. Bumbleride ended up with a B rating - dragged down by the Flyer and pulled up by the Indie so I'm assuming that on its own, the Flyer would have gotten around a C and the Indie an A.

Go on youtube and google Inglesina Zippy. There's a pretty cool demo on there that explains all of their features. It's a couple years old - now it comes with a ton more stuff. And I love that it folds so compactly just by pushing a button.

  • Not the norm.  The UppaBaby has the reversible seat think.
