So I am considering using Craigslist to get rid of a sleeper sofa, upholstered chair and matching ottoman, and a pair of matching display cabinets, for free for whomever will come and take them away themselves.
What do you recommend, I have never done this before, and am a little unsure about it all. I am worried about safety, and how it all works.
Whats the best way to do this?
Also if you have any other recommendations for who I can call to have this stuff picked up for free I am all ears.
Re: Craigslist Q's?? Furniture donations.
The kidney foundation will usually come get it for free if you have one near you.
If you have someone from craig's list make sure you have someone home with you or if you could load the furniture up and meet somewhere that is even better.
I'd say take some good pictures, when I've looked at things on Craig's List it's always the picture that sells me.
And only have people come over in the evening when DH is home, bring the furniture to your garage or some other open room where it's not difficult to get the furniture out of/ get yourself out of (worst case). You probably don't want strangers tramping through you house either.
And lastly, I would charge a small price - if it's free, I would wonder what's wrong with it. Even $50 for all, people think they're getting a great deal and you'd have $50 extra dollars - for a mani/pedi!!
