Rash from MMR???

My daughter had her MMR vaccine at her 15 month visit on April 24th, so like a week and a half ago.  I know the side effects from that can come on for like two weeks after the shot.  Saturday she developed a fever and it was 103.  We took her to the after hours pediatrician and she was diagnosed with two ear infections and put on Omnicef.  She has had Omnicef several times and has never had any problems.  Her fever went up and down Sunday and got up to 103 again.  Yesterday the highest we saw was 99.5.

Last night at around 8:30 she started screaming.  There was nothing we could do to calm her down.  She didn't want to be held, but didn't want to be put down either.  I noticed a rash on her neck and little bumps here and there on her belly and back.  At around 10:30 we went back to the after hours pediatrician.  They cleaned out one of her ears and said it was still infected.  She also said she was teething.  I asked if the rash could be from the MMR and she said it was possible, but usually it is worse.  She said it is definitely some kind of viral rash, and the ear infection was secondary to whatever was going on virally.  After doing more research this morning, I am convinced it is the measles rash from the MMR.

I'm sorry that was so long.  Anyway - I was just wondering if anyone's child experienced something similar after the MMR.  From what I can tell it isn't really dangerous, but I'm just wondering how long I can expect this to last.  I haven't gotten any sleep in the past three nights so both her and I are cranky now.  I feel so bad for her and I just want her to feel better.  Sad

    We did get a rash 9 days later and fever of about 102.. She will be fine..It lasted about 3 days.. Keep your chin up she'll be fine.. Give her lots of loving!!

    DD got a measles-like rash all over her tummy/back and arms and legs 10 days after her MMR shot. She did not run a fever though and the rash went away on its own in 2-3 days.

    We too had a measles like rash that popped up on 10 days after. It started mostly on her tummy and spread to her back, arms/legs, with a few on her face.  It was accompanied by 103 degree fever.  We took her to pedi to get checked out. They determined it was a reaction to MMR shot and there was nothing we could really do, but treat the fever with tylenol and motrin.  In 3 days it was completely gone.
