Message to July Sparklers
I just wanted to update the group about what is going on with me. ?At 25 weeks, I went to the doctor and was diagnosed with preeclampsia. ?I was on bedrest at home until 29 weeks, and then I was admitted to our local hospital. ?I was in the hospital for two full days, and then I was sent to another hospital that has a much more advanced NICU and high-risk pregnancy doctors. ?I was at this hospital until I officially hit 30 weeks. ?At this point, doctors chose to induce me, but the baby was not tolerating contractions well. ?Therefore, I had an emergency C-section at exactly 30 weeks. ?My baby was born on April 22, 2009 at 10:07 pm. ?He weighed 2 lbs. and 12 oz. and was 15 and 1/2 inches long. ?Following the surgery, I stayed in the hospital for a week recovering. ?It took an entire week for the doctors to find a blood pressure medication that got my pressure down to a somewhat normal range. ?I was finally discharged from the hospital, and the baby stayed in the NICU. ?He has been doing really well, and has been completely taken off oxgen. He is breathing completely on his own, tolerating formula--which the doctors are increasing every day, and is gaining weight. ?Overall, the baby is doing great, and we are just waiting for him to get bigger and stronger so he can come home. ?I wanted to let you all know what has been happening. ?My husband and I were in the process of moving (and still are) when all of this happened, and I did not have access to the Internet during all of this. ?I would really appreciate your thoughts and prayers for my tiny miracle baby. ?Good luck with the remainder of your pregnancies!!!

I'm not a July Sparkler, but I just wanted to let you know that you, DH, and baby are all in my thoughts and prayers. Definitely a miracle!!!
GL with everything, and maybe pass on the sparklers' check in??? You have too much to worry about and you should let someone else take this off your shoulders!
Congratulations on your tiny bundle! Thank you for updating us - that must have been such a scary experience for you... so sorry you weren't able to come here for support during that time
I'm glad your boy is doing well and I hope you are healing well! Update us as you get a chance.
